GEBO’s is a staple in every small rural town in West Texas carrying all the daily necessities for farm living. My dad worked at GEBO’s and when we lived on the farm, GEBO’s was a weekly trip to town for us.

Driving around home this Thanksgiving 2009, I happen to notice GEBO’s sign and something struck me as oddly familiar.

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (AP) — A billboard showing President Barack Obama wearing a turban has sparked a lot of attention at the suburban Denver used car dealership that put it up.

The sign, completed Friday by artist David Lee of Arvada, shows a grinning, cartoonish Obama and bears the words: “PRESIDENT or JIHAD?”

Underneath the image is a yellow square with the phrase, “BIRTH CERTIFICATE, PROVE IT!”
